So this morning Mat conquered what was left of Lego Batman and Indiana Jones. All I can say is Christmas is arriving just in time. Hopefully Santa brings Mat something to keep him occupied and his little brain in overdrive. I know several think video games are terrible for kids, but I can honestly say it was a great thing for Mat. His eye hand coordination improved greatly after his eye surgery, and his problem solving skills are fantastic. The key to it all is moderation!! Which is something he's still learning about as he pitches holy tantrums when it is time to stop playing. But those are starting to calm down as well.
I got an early Christmas present from Scott. We were fixing up our back 'storage' room to be a laundry room. Well, little did I know that Scott purchased a new washer and dryer for me and managed to keep it a secret til the room was almost complete. Now a new washer and dryer may not seem romantic, but we have a 10 year old washer and dryer that are on their final days. So to me, that washer and dryer are the most perfect presents ever! Plus with as much laundry as I do with a newborn...again, perfect!! AND THE WASHER IS A FRONT LOADER!! WOOT!
And here is a picture of Mat and Tempe:)

Josh broke our dryer's buzzer (which there was no option to turn off) for my birthday; it was the most romantic gift ever. I'm happy to hear the surprise went off without a hitch!
As for Mat, no 3 year-old knows moderation. That's what we're for (I try to tell myself that when Jonah is a beast).
Love you much!
What a cute pic. That is an awesome surprise.
